NEED OPINION ON KONIS!!!

Gotta get them soon. I've found the Sports and the Adjustables (can't find a price for the adjustables though). In your opinions, are the adjustables worth getting, or should i stick with the Sports? i'm gettin 18s soon, so the ride is gonna be a little harsh...

If you have the cash.....definitely get the Koni Yellow Adjustables......
nothing beats being able to tweak your suspension settings....you can
make your ride smooth and soft like a Cadillac, then turn a knob a few
times and your car will be as tight as a Porshe sticking to the road like
glue. When you can adjust the suspension softness and firmness, you
can also induce or reduce under and oversteer. Very cool sh it !!

koni has not yet released the sports, only the yellow's.....i am pretty sure.....i have the yellows, and they ROCK! buy them!

<< koni has not yet released the sports, only the yellow's.....i am pretty sure.....i have the yellows, and they ROCK! buy them! >>

mwwhonda

How much do they rock ?? I plan on getting some in the near future....
are they easy to adjust, and are the rear ones easy to adjust as well......??
let me know bro !! Thanks !!

slikor 02-20-2002 08:49 AM

now, the Yellows are the adjustable ones right?

antidote11 02-20-2002 09:03 AM

Yeh, the Yellow Koni's are the externally adjustable ones.
I'm not sure if it is by knob or by screwdriver....??? Hmmmm

slikor 02-20-2002 09:56 AM

i think it is a removable knob that you use to adjust them

antidote11 02-20-2002 10:17 AM

That's cool...because I think the Tokico's need a screwdriver flathead to adjust...and I would prefer
the knob, so that rocks !!

GaryC17 02-20-2002 10:54 AM

Are you referring to the Koni coilovers ??

antidote11 02-20-2002 11:09 AM

Koni Struts.....Does Koni make coilovers...? I have never heard of them if they do....

PerfectD3 02-20-2002 12:21 PM

nope

VTECnique 02-20-2002 02:58 PM

What's the lowest price on the yellows? i found them on group buy for $520 + shipping...is there any place lower? Also, who do i contact to get the Ground Control Adapter clips?

blah 02-20-2002 06:35 PM

$520+shipping is about the best your gonna get. tornactive has them for $550 shipped and has them in stock. As for the ground control adapters you can get them directly from ground control but ive heard they are on backorder.

I just received an email from koni themselves on the coilovers. Below is the reply to my query on the availability of the kit for the 2001 civic.....

"There are no plans to develop a height adjustable kit for the 2001 Civic. However, we have dampers for the car that are adjustable in rebound. If you have any other questions, please let me know. Thanks."

Sounds so demoralising...

black2k1vtec 02-20-2002 06:53 PM

Are the Koni Yellows height adjustable??
Is that what you mean by coilovers??
I know my friend has Konis, and they are also height adjustable, just wondering.

GaryC17 02-20-2002 07:00 PM

The shocks in the coilovers are the same colour as the koni yellows. The coilovers are height adjustable as well as rebound adjustable. The yellows are jst rebound adjustable. You can check them out at www.koni.com

slikor 02-21-2002 11:46 AM

but if you have Koni Yellow shock/struts and GroundControl coilovers than you'd have rebound and height adjustability...right?
