What Tires Are Everybody Using?? Its about time for me to replace my nitto tires on my car. I dont want them again they were extremely loud, horrible i repeat horrible in the rain, they had a decent treadlife but thats about it. Im just curious what tires everybody has and how happy you are with them?? mike |
i dont know what tires to reccomend except for kumhos.... but bro...you gotta raise that a$$ of your car up or something! thing looks like it is squatting to take a poopies lolol good luck |
I'm just about at the same point, but I'm still playing w/ my stockie firestones Yea! I'd agree on the Kumho, like the Ecsta Supra, pretty cheap, but I've heard good things. What about the Yokohama Parada's? Definatly very unique looking, and they're supposed to be pretty nice in the rain too. Take a Poopie Nice Word !! I have some Kumho Ecsta Supra 712's and I love them.....that's probably the tires I will always get for my car. They handle excellent in the rain and on dry pavement and that look good as hell too. And they are somewhat inexpensive, compared to other tires that rate about the same. |
I'm cheap, I use a four season tire, cuz i dont wannr change the snow tire~~~ I use the Yokohama AVID H4 It gives u a good performance on dry and wet with it's low price:tup: P.S. Good is not comparing to summer tires.... |
Toyo Proxzies FZ4's 215/40/17, the best tires I have had on 17's. I have tried three different brands and the Toyo are by far the best I have had. I am very happy with them, they are not loud on the road and handle well in the rain. |
Do you like the Toyos over the Kumho's....? |
but bro...you gotta raise that a$$ of your car up or something! thing looks like it is squatting to take a poopies lolol good luck >> I think the sedan looks great with a more level front and rear. Most people complain about the high rear end on Civics. |
I still have the stock firestones but thats changing as we speak, nice winter tires for me now, and then I might have to ride on my Firestones for a bit if I dont get the cash together for a new set of 17"s and tires by spring. Crashoveride |
falken nothing less....they have very long life and handle awesome in the weather. scott |
i like it when the cars sit nice and level front and back also....that is why i suggested that he raises the rear up...in his pics he has like FULLLL TUKAGE out back and noting up front.! dang....those shocks must LOOOOVVVVVVEEEEE him.....hhehehehe |
I still have my stock firestones. But when I get my rims I plan on getting some Kumhos, Parada, or Falken's or somethin'. Good tires (= |
paradas have great traction but they're loud as hell, sound like a wheel bearing going out. I switched to Mich Pilots |
Dude, I'm getting my Kumho's and 17's tomorrow, I'll let you know what I think |
<< Toyo Proxzies FZ4's 215/40/17, the best tires I have had on 17's. I have tried three different brands and the Toyo are by far the best I have had. I've hydroplaned on every rainy day and skipped out of sharp turns on a regular basis. I also have three bubbles on one tire! I drove on Pirelli's P7000 on my bro's GSR and they are definately worth the money! Im getting rid of these my toyos as soon as i get the dough for the pirelli's |
The rear sags a little lower than the front because the rear shocks are blown but not by much. The wheel wells on the sedan are cut lower in the rear making the back look much lower than the front. If you measeure the car from ground to center of well the rear is only a 1/4" lower. mike |
From an aesthetic standpoint, that Sedan just doesn't look right. If you've got GC's, raise the back so that the distance from the tire to the fenderwell is the same. It's not hard and your car will look a lot better. Do you like the way it looks...all squatty in the rear? |
AND...blown shocks have nothing to do with the height of your car. Shocks merely provide dampening and rebound control. Your springs are what control the height. |
I have Falcon ZR tires. I don't think they are the best, but hey I got brand new 17inch ADR rims and tires hooked up for real cheap so I am satisfied with what I got. |
I am planning on raising the back up some once i get my shocks, camber kit and new tires im gonna have it all done at once. shocks to have to do with the height of the car when a shock is blown it sits at almost the lowest point of the assembly hence bringing the car down. and sedans generally look better with the rear dropped a little lower then the front not as much as mine i know but like i said above its all going to get done at once with everything else. Plus winters in jersey suck with no garage so my car goes on the back burner till the spring. mike |
Still on the stocks...but looking to get Pirelli Lo Pro's come spring. |
I bought a set of Yokohama AVS db's. I don't think any one else is rolling on those. I bought them for several reasons. 1) They are the quietest tire I've ever riden on !!! They were designed that way. Very little road noise ! 2) Great all weather traction ! Handle great in the rain, even handled good in the snow storm we had here in Texas a couple weeks back. 3) Great gripping power on the corners. I don't race, but I drive fast...... and love cornering !!!! 4) Reasonably priced. $99 for 205/55-16. |
nm...i answered my own question |
I have Sam's CLub all seasons. Lifetime treadlife warranty.. Much better than firestones. COntemplating rims at this time due to financial situation. Cheers Mohawk But the Kumho Ecsta Supra's cannot be touched for the price. They're right up there witht he best. at 1/3 the price. Great treadwear. Low low noise. Good rain traction. little less comfort than some other's but Bahh |
firestones |
hey blah, and ppl in america... dunno if you have Dunlops over there but at $800 aus dollar, FM901 are really the benchmark here. If not, have a look at Formula ss001. really fat ass groove down center that does not much but looks fat. The other one getting raves here are Bridgestone s-02, but are twice the money... actually bout the same as pirellis 6000 and 7000 kinda performance... anyways they are standard on porsches. One other thing while all you good ppl are here replying... why doesnt TRUST come out with some bad ass stuff for our car??? I had the car since oct 2000 and trust/greedy came out with some tame items like mid range mufflers!??!!? I wanna know about their air intakes like the new yellow airnix and extractors and pads and rotrors.... i have seen nothing.. as well as HKS?? what the deal? all AEM. |
i got the stock fr680s now but i am gonna switch over to Subzeros with Bridgestones Potenzas. (oh, the tread pattern :::::::)rool:::::: |
I've got Yokohama Aegis and they're great in the rain. Directly after I drove my car off the lot I went to get rid of the Firestones. |
Pirelli P Zero Directionales. |
Blah, Is it the Nitto NT450 you wrapped on your wheels? Are you still having stock suspension setup because everyone knows stock setup is noisy and rough. I have the NT555, they feel great, smooth, and lots of traction for lauching, also the thread design look pretty slick with tuner wheels. |
