 Did yall see the Jun Civic in the new Honda tuning mag i wonder if the parts they put into it are Avalible for us to buy

BAK 02-11-2002 06:23 PM

Yeah.. Eventually they will have the parts available. I think they are just in the tuning & testing mode now. Probably be quite a while before they come out.

joe 02-11-2002 06:54 PM

does anybody know what parts they will have available for our cars?

Hefe 02-11-2002 06:56 PM

Speedracer32 02-11-2002 09:26 PM

ooo
i've seen these b4
got the pics saved on my pc:)
a new cam wouldn't be bad
wonder how much they would charge

RallyEX 02-12-2002 07:57 AM

I've spoken with Todd at Jun, and we spoke about some of the things Jun was working on.

They have a Chromoly Flywheel in testing right now, that is supposedly great. He says that it makes the car so much better to drive AND race, it is just a more responsive all around vehicle.

They are also working on a new valvetrain, possibly titanium, that could be used for All-Motor/High HP/Forced Induction applications.

They were talking about milling out some cams and trying them.

I'll be calling them again soon to check up on the progress.

Later,
RallyEX

wow, looks like I'm going to have to work more overtime. :)

black2k1vtec 02-12-2002 05:10 PM

They have a prototype cam in the 'Lemon Civic'. As well as Custom intake manifold if Im not mistaken, 170hp sounds good to me! Cant wait to see some of their products!

Cole 02-12-2002 06:46 PM

damn gonna make the aftermarket much better for this car... black2k1vtec, 170 hp is damn good to me too

new2civics 02-12-2002 06:51 PM

And thats all engine... I wouldnt mind have 170 with out nos

viciousvolpe 02-12-2002 09:44 PM

the1sthotboy 02-12-2002 11:41 PM

RE 02-13-2002 04:13 AM

WTF, it has a moon roof. This car was obviously created as a show car and not intended for racing. I have seen JUN AUTO MECHANIC's other cars like their EVO VII, Supra, and S15. They were all extremely modified for racing and time trial. Then again, the civic is made by JUNUSA and they must have different priorities. I also own a 2001 civic and am happy to see some serious modifying done to it, but I just wanted to point out that it's true purpose wasn't to race. I would like to see a track ready civic that can seriously compete with the other cars in it's class.

Grey 02-13-2002 08:36 AM

The number 170 comes from the concept civic's output I think. I.E. It does not relate to the JUN civic! The JUN civic might have about 140 - 150 horsies with that cam shaft and fuel management system. That flywheel will shorten the 1/4 mile time as well.

Bartkat 02-13-2002 08:50 AM

Nice idea for some classic mods to gain power. However I think they should pick another name besides "LEMON". Has bad vibes.

Grey 02-13-2002 09:01 AM

JUN Super Lemon

Yeah, I didn't think of that. Is that what the official name is? They could of thought of something better.

new2civics 02-13-2002 01:32 PM

I still think that car looks awsome!! But they shouldve put black rims on it

black2k1vtec 02-13-2002 05:12 PM

Yes it is the official name, I read somewhere when it was at SEMA that it had about 170 hp. I know the concept does too, Im not getting them confused.

Grey 02-13-2002 06:40 PM

<< Engine enhancements include a prototype JUN camshaft and engine management system along with high-flow intake and exhaust systems. >>

Hum... I wouldn't think that all that could produce 170 horsies. Maybe they can get more air/fuel into the combustion chamber with that fuel management system to get that number? Interesting...

black2k1vtec 02-13-2002 07:10 PM

+Titanium Valve springs, I thought it had a high flow intake manifold?? Or is that the concept Civic?

And im sure its 170HP @ the chromemoly lightened flywheel.

new2civics 02-13-2002 07:29 PM

:) I want everything that cars has 170 with out nos or turbo would make me happy... I love the looks of our cars.. The hp is the only thing that makes me unhappy

Matrix 02-13-2002 07:41 PM

Looks good. I like it.

AlphaInfinity 02-13-2002 08:12 PM

CiViCBoY 02-15-2002 02:13 PM

But JUN parts are just too damn expensive over here in Canada. We know a few shops have already had to drop JUN products because of the price. It's hard to find their parts here nowadays.

XenonCivic 02-15-2002 03:33 PM

sexy.

andythejeweler 02-19-2002 02:46 PM

If you dont know the answer to a question like "how much horsepower does it have?", don't waste everyones time with speculation. I can do that on my own just fine. I think we are all here to try and gain knowledge, not other people's guessing.
