Looking for some good 15" tires i decided not to get rims cause of theft and they slow your car down, unless i can get them dirt cheap. so i am looking for some nice 205/50/15's. anyone had any luck with some certain brands? i saw some Bridgestone Potenzas that had a nice pattern but they were 140 a peice. thanks guys |
I just grabbed a set of Kumho Ecsta Supra 712's and they are 205/50-15 and they fuggin' rock !! They handle excellent, they are the perfect compound, not too soft, not too hard, and they have a bad ass pattern...and they run anywhere from 65 - 95 a tire is what I've seen in mags and on the net. But I would recommend these tires to anybody !! The only thing I forgot to mention is the tire gap these 50's will give you....I am definitely going to lower my car about 1.5, because in theory, you are supposed to have equal to or less than your sidewall height, in wheel gap. So if your tire sidewall is say 2", your wheel gap should be 2" or less. |
Just get another pair of those kick ass Firestones we got, they rock  (NOTE: Sarcasim :shady Crashoveride |
Firestones Rule !!! Only if you like hydroplaning into on-coming traffic at night in the pouring down rain. :susp: |
ha..yeah I'm ditching the firestones this month...getting the Yokohoma T4's (I think...) they are like 50 a piece. |
Isn't the 205/50R15 way too small? On an EX/Si you are changing from a diameter of 24.4 inches to 23.0 inches and a circumfrence change from 76.8 inches to 72.4 inches. That's almost a 6% change (too fast) on your speedo. Wouldn't 205/60R15 be a better choice? edit: plus a 205/60R15 wouldn't make nearly as big a gap in the wheel well... Brian |
Yokohama AVID T4 Long-lasting high performance all-season P185/65R-15 86T thats from the discount tire web site...those are the ones I'm getting...49 each |
