Can this work with solo adapter and...? I want the solo adapter becasue i heard great feedback on it. But i was wondering can i get the solo adapter and use like a short shifter from like a different company? Possilbly buy the solo adapter and buy the revo tech short shifter or maybe the dc short shifter? |
this idea has been mentioned before but no one has tried it. in theory, it should work |
Geez How short do you want to go?? Too short and you miss-shift. If you ride the knob as I do often and sneeze you might shift from 4th to 1st... this could become a problem real quick. I'd chose one and see. The Revo Tech is what I'd choose. Northern Bob |
I was thinking about that too. I havethe Revo Technica and it works good, except wen the car is cold I shift into 3rd iinstead of 1st and starting from the 3rd sucks!! . I hope to find the 70$ and buy the adapter too, but till now i did not find it When will I will post ya. |
Jstto let u know I just ordered the DC adapter, so guess in like a week or so I will have it on. We will see if it work Peace out |
if you don't like the combo with the revo, i'll buy the DC adaptor from ya LET IT BE KNOWN THAT I ASKED FIRST! :) |
What I did was I got the Solo adapter and then cut my shift rod down by a couple inches. Now it's really short and I don't have to use arm movements to shift, just my wrist. I've never missed a gear or grinded, I say this is the cheapest way to have a short shift throw/shifter and not waste money on that stupid revo thing. |
Good call, the Revo Technica short shifter is just a shortened version of the OEM shifter anyway. Do you have a re-threading tool? Did you make a new thread for the shift knob? |
