Ground Control

Got a simply question. I'm thinking about going with a Ground Control Coil-Over kit. My question is that if I got it I wouldn't need to replace my shocks or anything because ground control will replace it right? So I won't have to deal with anything like blown shocks or anything. And that's all I'd need to lower my car a bit and not have to worry about anything going wrong, correct?

That's the idea I'm getting when I read they're site:

Well, I don't believe that the Ground Control Coil Over Kit comes with Shocks. Lowering your car on any type of suspension will call for new shocks sooner or later. I have a set of GC - coil overs on my ride, and to be honest, my shocks are doing just fine (for now). I am sure that I will need new ones eventually. However, i don't think I would like to go with Koni shocks. I am hoping tokico will introduce adjustable shocks for our civics into the market soon. ok, I get it then. It just converts it over so you use your stock shocks.

Know of any good shocks besides Koni Yellows? Those are too much for me. I want to get good shocks just $550 is too much

Ground Controls only replace your stock springs, you can still use your stock struts.

If you do get a set with stock struts, then don't drop below 2", or else your stocks will blow very soon. And be careful over bumps, RR tracks, etc.

Only struts out now are the Koni Yellows, read this thread to see about other struts to buy.
