Flaken/Kumho/or Toyo Tires?

I'm planning on ordering some tires and rims this weekened from Wheelmax and was just wondering what kind of tires I should get with my 17 " Tenzo R RS-5's. The package I want to get comes with either falken, Toyo, or Kumho 205/40/17 tires along with 17" RS-5 rims for $$999........Any suggestions??

Slam - you told me about that place earlier but I was wondering about the tires that came w/ the packege... Federal ZR rated?? what is that... are tehy good? i jsut havne't heard of them so I have no idea what to think?

anyone else have them? has anyone else bought from there... I figure you have slam, you seem to be walking advertising for them...

I like the price from there... I jsut need more info on the tires.

slam2k1civic 01-25-2002 12:17 PM

its not that the tires are good do you want people to see your tires or your rims?

He is a walking advertisement for them because he probably works for them, or is gettin somethin out of promoting for them.

If Wheel Max does not sell TENZO's then why do they have them on their site? That would be false advertisement and would therefore be grounds for a lawsuit.

I think those 3 brands of tires have their pro's and cons. The best thing to do would be to research them and see which ones are more suitable for your driving habits and environment. I personally have a set of Toyo's on my ride. However, I have owned FALKENS before and I believe they were the Z-Rated tires (awesome in the rain). Those tires lasted me quite a while and never had probs with them.
Good Luck...and Priv. Message me if you have more questions.
:)

Firstly, just as you are free to say whatever you want here, so is everyone else. So complaining about "oh someone always has to say something" is pointless sweetheart. Secondly, how am i supposed to know you work for CBW by looking at your car? Unless I can tell by clicking on that little link you have there (which I have no interest in doing), then I can't tell, so basically i was just assuming. Apparently I was right. It's great that you're trying to save people money though. I commend you for that. :)

NightHawk 01-27-2002 05:01 PM

Hey, i have the rs-5, in silver. I got them with falken tires, but i recommend kuhmo, i heard alot of good ish about them. Really good performance, and my falcons got a little rip in the from street wear not long after i got them. There pretty good, but get Kumho. Check out my car here... http://importculture.com/shows/hid10.13.01/images/cars073.jpg

<< its not that the tires are good do you want people to see your tires or your rims? >>

You gotta drive on em don't you?

Bartkat 01-27-2002 07:26 PM

If you get the tires from Wheelmax, at least you know what brand you are getting. I know Kumho has a good warranty.

Those tires from the other place are "nonames". That's how they sell them so cheap.

Daniel420 01-27-2002 09:44 PM

thanks bartkat... that's all I wanted to hear... if they were no names or what. I'll stick w/ something that has been proven.

So true. Good point Bartkat!

Bartkat 01-28-2002 08:24 AM

Well, hey. Your tires are the only thing between you and the road.

If you just want to show off your wheels, and not drive much, then you could wrap a couple of big sausages around the wheels. LOL

Bartkat 01-28-2002 08:31 AM

" wheel max does not sell tenzo look at tenzo$899.00 "

If that's the case then what's this?

Tenzo R. A whole page of em.

slam2k1civic 01-28-2002 08:59 AM

i want to see someone buy tenzo from wheel max.any one could put things for sale on there web site wheel max use to sell tenzo but not no more why dont you guys call tenzo direct and ask who has the tenzo line for the state of florida 818-504-6088 or you could buy tenzo look a like from wheel max which the wheels are called bsa,and then tell me how you like your new wheels!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

slam2k1civic

Lighten up dude.

Bartkat 01-28-2002 09:17 AM

Why do we keep seeing this link to nowhere?

JD Promotions (nobody home)

slam2k1civic 01-28-2002 09:28 AM

about the jdmoptions we are still working on it give us some time. And about lighten up it get me mad when people dont know whats going on see the funny thing is that i use to sell to wheel max tenzo but we dont no more we work next to each other cbwheels and wheel max all you guys have to do is call tenzo and ask them who has tenzo cbwheels/cbw or wheel max

Bartkat 01-28-2002 09:34 AM

Why do you keep linking to a site that has no info. You need to wait till you get up and running. Don't you think many who go to that link won't go back because there is nothing there?

The guy that started this thread apparently will be in touch with Wheelmax. I'm sure he'll let us know if he can't get his wheels there.

You obviously have an axe to grind here and it is not appreciated. Running down some other company is not going to make people want to buy stuff from you.

So just lighten up, Jack, and stop trying to run infomercials on a forum webste. If you really want to help, send in a donation to tis site, or buy a banner ad.
