Need help!!!!Lowering!!!
 

This is my first car that I have wanted to make mods too So I dont knwo very much about springs, tuning etc...I have been reading threads and product info on stuff, but I have no idea on what route to take. I want to lower my car about 1 to 1.5". I have 17" rims. I drive my car alot for work. I alreday have 36000 miles on it, but I also race some auto cross events some. Im not heavy into racing just like to run my car sometimes for fun. Lowering springs, coilovers, ground control...im lost Do i need to adujust camber for normal driving and racing? I can afford to spend $500 , but the less expensive the better. HELP!

get some Eibach Sportline Springs, you can find them for about $190 a set. Those will lower your car about 1.5"

i got hr springs on my civic. it's the sport lines series. 1.25 drop. with the stock shocks. still has a comfortable ride. makes a difference in the look and ride of your car. especially if you're going to put on aftermarket rims and tires. i'm running 18's.

what is the total cost of the whole lowering project, including the cost of springs and installation?

usually 150-350 for springs/coils and around 150-300 for install w/ alignment

Actually, that isn't correct information there NBPCivic...the Sportlines will drop your ride about 2.25 after they settle...the Pro-Kit on the other hand lowers it the 1.5 after settling. About the HR and all those, I have no clue...I wouldn't ride on anything but Eibachs....but I'm picky.

he's right, i dropped my car 1.5 inches on an eibach pro kit, and slapped some 215/40r17 on there so i wouldn't throw off my speedometer and it looks killer. everything came out to 800= tires, prokit, drop, and alignment. They said i needed camber kits in the rear but it such a small angle. that i didnt bother.

Yeah I found the eibach sportline springs for $189. Would it be somethinng that I can DIY? or should I have them done by a shop?

i put nuespeed racing springs in and its a 2.5 drop in the front and 2"
in the back. they went for 239$ with tax. i did the install myself and to tell you the truth it was the very easy. took about 3 and a half hours though. the drop looks sick with 17" ROH adrenlins and some toyo 40 low pros. no wheel well at all and no more high honda a$$.
