$4.99 for intake and exhaust "26.5hp guaranteed"
 

I think this is a repost, but someone should buy this, dyno it, and then sue him for false advertisement, or at least get your money back.

Funny, too, since uh yeah that intake they show won't even fit our cars.

I would guess that it's for the EX, and the real performance enhancer is that the catalytic converter is removed. Taking that off would prolly give you 25 hp, so if that's what they do then yeah, you'd probably get that much HP gain, but it would definitely be VERY illegal.

I don't think removing the cat on our cars give you 25hp.

thats the only way I can see of getting 25hp. And i dont have any experience, but I have heard that removing the cat gives you a 20% increase in horsepower. On the D17, that would be 25.4HP. I dont know anything about that exhaust, but I seriously doubt the 26.5 HP increase, even if it is guaranteed.

I've come across this on ebay so many times! What I wonder is, that they say that it is GUARANTEED... So since we all know that this POS package wont give us even 5hp probably, do the buyers get their money back or something? Since they Guarantee, then whats in return for us when we don't get 26.5 hp?

if it was such a great deal then why aren't they getting any bids...

Thats exactly what they do. They charge 30 bucks shipped when it only cost them.. 5 if they have a deal with the USPS. So if the customer is disatified they give you your 5 bucks back but they keep whatever they made off the shipping. And most people want even go through the hassle to ship it back and all that. So when you did refund it they make 5 + whatever they made off shipping. Its a win win situation for them and many people do it over ebay. Plus most people that would even consider buying that probably dont have the resources to dyno their car. And probably dont even know what a dyno is.

I'm guessing that the 26.5 hp came from a butt-dyno.

It's almost tempting to buy this for 4.99 and then sell it to some local ricer as an intake and exhaust for $100 including instalation.

the problem with this really seems to be that the checkout is not handled by ebay/paypal, therefor they dont have to take responsibility if the guy doesnt ship because ebay cant be assured you really paied the guy....basically...if you dont use ebay checkout, they dont do crap for you.

and this is a POS auction, dont even try to buy it and resell it, you prolly wont receive the shipment anyways.
