09 Brand New Battery Won't Start Figured it was time to replace the battery - original at 103K, when car didn't start on first try a couple times. Just as I was about to go do that, no turnover at all. Try after try. Called for a jump and even that (with a jump pack) didn't work at first, then a labored start. OK - off to the only place open Sat. eve. Advance Auto. They pop in a new Gold baby for $150. and it starts right up. I back the car up and shut it off to look for a plastic piece of the positive post cover that had fallen off. We find it, I go to leave and, you guessed it, Won't Start! I buy a $5 replacement post - cable connector and the guy (who is also a multiple Civic owner) puts it on for me cause he's confused now. It starts up, labored. Now it's home and won't start. Turns over maybe once. Does this sound like a bad starter or is there some other issue here? |
