CEL and Radio Problems in 2006 SI

So my CEL came on, I adjusted the gas cap as thats usually the issue but the light stayed on for 3 days. By the time I got it to a code reader, it turned off, literally as i pulled into the driveway:( So thought all was well and then it came back on today, temp is normal and car seems to be running fine. Although there is this weird black soot like stuff all over my battery and the hose that runs across it, appeared within the month as I checked my oil last month and it wasn't there. What could be causing this issue? Should I try to not drive my car, seeing as I commute about an hour and a half for school?

As for the radio it will randomly change modes or stations on me, or flat out not work, or make a loud booming noise through my speakers and turn itself off. There are days it works just fine and there is no pattern as far as heat or amount of time driving. Could this just be a fuse issue and/or do I need a whole new deck?
Thanks!
