Coolent Leak, 2006 Honda Civic Hi, New guy on the block. Took my Honda to my local mechanic, whom I trust, telling him that my car was over heating, and I didn't have any ruptured hoses. God News and Bad News! Bad News; Coolant leak from the engine gasket, meaning I need a new engine. Good News: Depending on VIN, Honda has a 10 year engine replacement. I took my 2006 Honda Civic and it qualified for the replacement. Curiously enough, while there I asked about my airbag, and was told it was okay. Dealer said it would take about two days to replace the engine. Here is the web site I used to ck: http://www.consumerreports.org/cro/n...vics/index.htm Hope this helps anyone else out. It's good to have a mechanic you can trust, and am sure this saved me a couple of thousand dollars. |

Re: Coolent Leak, 2006 Honda Civic I saw one of these, oddest thing ever, right out of the r18, mid block there was a hairline fracture with coolant bleeding out. |
