Cabin Blower Motor / Fan " Repair " !!!

TO ALL OF YOU THAT HAVE A PROBLEM WITH CABIN BLOWER Fan Making a CLICKING NOISE , STOPPING OFF AT TIMES OR FAILURE . >>>> HERE IS THE FIX !!!! :
REMOVE THE BLOWER , REMOVE THE "ONE" SCREW AT BOTTOM OF BLOWER ..... THEN TAKE A AIR HOSE AND BLOW A CLOUD OF BLACK "BRUSH" RESIDUE OUT OF THE BLOWER BY USING THIS "HOLE LEFT BY REMOVING THE SCREW" . THEN blow off the FAN , REPEAT AND REINSTALL !!!
WHAT'S HAPPENING IS THE BLACK "BRUSH" POWDER FROM THE MOTOR"S BRUSHINGS ACCUMALATE UNDER THE Fan and cause the brush or brushes to bind and fail and act up in the above mentioned ways . when all this is blown out " whola" it runs just fine again !!!
This is an easy fix and now you know what to do . looked everywhere to find out how to repair ..... found out myself and happy to pass along !!!

Re: Cabin Blower Motor / Fan " Repair " !!!

A good post, I actually just replaced the one in a 2006 civic for around $100 because it was making the clicking noise.
Wish I had this information before hand, but oh well :P
