D15B lost all power!!!

I have a 95 civic with a D15B swap. I recently noticed an oil leak coming from the transmission so me and my mechanic quickly pulled it (other than the leak there was no problem with the tranny). After taking a look we noticed a crack allowing small amounts of oil through so we swapped it for another tranny from a friend. He was unsure if it was good. Now after putting everything back together the car has lost all power. It accelerates very slowly and if I don't shift up in 2nd it will continually increase in speed (around 90mph) without redlining. Has absolutely no power in 3rd - 5th and is really impossible to reach high rpms. Now my mechanic believes it is the clutch. It was pretty worn and we probably contaminated it with our greasy hands. (no $$$ for replacement). I don't know what to think but I believe it could be the distributor or plugs (it was jammed between engine and suspension bar for awhile before we noticed it), fuel system, or maybe the ECU needs to be reset? or maybe the tranny is just bad... Any input would be greatly appreciated. :help:

Does this sound like a sort of limp mode?

Re: D15B lost all power!!!

theres a vtec d15b and a 3 stage vtec d15b. one has obd1 fuel control and other has obd2. different wiring harness. also different ecu. the tranny might be from a d15b that is slightly different from urs, ie as stated in beggining. theres prolly not enough fuel getting to the injectors. p08 ecu is what u want. if you haave obd1 you will need obd2 harness. or vice versa for whichever d15b engine u gots
