hands free

Hi my hands free voice control has stopped working the other voice options still work its the one for the phone has stopped .....would disconnection of the battery have any effect?

Can we get a bit more information so we can help? YeAR and trim level, to start. Also, factory system or aftermarket?

Sorry it's the 2007 ex diesel I bought it in may last year from Marshals of Hull it has full voice options with sat nav which also is playing up
