need help with alarm viper5704
 

hello i made this to make it easier for the people helping me out. this is the last questions i have before i am done. ok this is for a 2004 honda civic. dx. before i post i have a couple questions
1.Does the viper alarm have a built in kill start in it? Or do I have to add in some relays?
2.If i want my a.c or heater to turn on what wires do i connect together?
3.Should I connect the tach wire? or use virtue Tach? Heard the tach wire is for cars that need longer cranking. (Cold weather/older cars.)
Ok these are all the questions I have thanks. Also let me know if im missing any diodes or relays thanks.

1.) No it does not have a built in kill start, you will have to add some relays.

2.) If you want your ac or heater to turn on then you have to use the AUX outputs. H2 harness pins 13/14/15. These are only 200mA outputs so you will probably have to use a relay depending on where you tap into the ac and heater system.

3.) I used the tach wire on both my cars. I didn't like the whole "Virtual" idea. I want hard wired connections so that there is less room for error. It's up to you though.

Neutral safety wire you can connect to ground if your key can not come out of the ignition with the car in gear. Some cars have a built in feature that wont allow you to leave the car in drive or reverse and take the key out. If your car does not have this feature then I would suggest connecting to a wire that that gets grounded when you put your car in park. Some cars have sensor wires or relays that do this others do not.

For your door trigger input you don't need to use the other connection (H2/12) if your door trigger is negative triggered. The wire that you are using (H2/6) is for a negative door trigger which I believe most Honda's are.

And for harness H3, you don't need most of the wires on that harness for a civic. Those extra wires like the "flex relay" and "accessory start relay" are not needed for civics.

*Always make sure you wire in a diode across your relay coil to prevent "flyback" :fullofwin:
