Diodes and Relays on a Viper 5002???

I have a 1998 Honda Civic EX Sedan 5-Speed
Installing a Viper 5002 alarm system

Add-ons:
Tilt sensor 507M
Glass break sensor 506T
Backup battery 520T
2 Piezo sirens

I am totally confused as to the using of diodes and relays, or if they are even needed on the above setup?!

Can someone please simplify if they are needed, if so where?

Please do not tell me to have it professionally done, if i had the money I would not be here asking for help.

Thank you in advance.

im not exactly sure, it should have come with installation manual. relays are like a hi power switch. it takes a low current trigger signal to switch them on, then they draw power directly from the battery to the device they power. they are usually needed for accessories that use alot of power. but in alarm installs ive seen them used to reverse wire a circuit, such as turning a ground into a positive so to speak. diodes are just small things you put inbetween a wire so that power only flows in one direction instead of both ways. you should read thru the install manual it tells you how to wire up everything.

Thank you gearbox...I'll look at the manual more carefully.

also some of those addons are useless or can cause issues later. the glass break sensor doesnt do anything, and if they hit the car hard enough to break glass, the shock sensor will take care of it anyways. but most thieves these days dont even bother breaking windows. you can get in by just wedging the door molding open and sticking in a metal rod to reach the power unlock button. takes maybe 10-20 secs. the backup battery is also useless, because once you remove the alarm fuse under the hood (which must be within a foot of the battery), then it disables the entire alarm. i had one but took it out after it went bad and started to constantly drain my main car battery trying to keep itself charged.
