turbo map sensor help

ok i have a 1997 civic ex coupe with a b20 block and b18 type r head turboed. Something is up with it i was driving down the road and i got on it a little bit and hit a bump kinda hard. After i hit the bump my car started running like crap i had to keep my foot on the gas to keep it running if i took my foot off the gas it would die. I checked out the check engine light and it said my map sensor was bad i ordered a new map sensor but im confused on how to hook it up the wires are different colors on the wiring harness there is a green red and yellow wire but on the map sensor there is a black green and red wires does anyone have any clue on which wire goes where? thanks

we need a little more info what engine mangement system are you using? is the map sensor on the engine a stock map sensor or an aftermarket map sensor? what map sensor did you pick up?

on turboed cars the stock oem honda map sensor tends to get crazy around 9 to 10 psi so most people stick in an aftermarket map senor that can handle high levels of boost.

Re: turbo map sensor help

oh so it is hard wired in hmm I believe the black green goes to the yellow wire but I am not sure there is probably a diagram up or I am sure some one on hondatech knows. this is mostly a 7thgen/8thgen site it actually used to be called 7thgencivic.com back in the day when it was decent. some of us have knowledge of of the older gens but there is a lot more info over on hondatech sorry
