Door open warning light

Hi, Just joined today and posting second thread. The red door open warning light on the dashboard stays on though all doors are secure. Over time it has been intermintant, particularly if I hit a bump in the road, then the light my flicker or go off for a short while. It is most annoying as I have to manually switch off the interior light. Vehicle is a 1999 Civic 1.4 Hatch. Hope you good people can dampen my burning frustration. Thankyou.

check the door switches, each door has a nipple thing somewhere that the door presses on. alot of times the ground will get rusty and it wont make good contact. the switch has one wire and then is actually grounded straight to the car body with a screw.

^^^ :giggle:

JK, if that doesn't turn up any results, follow the wires back to the other end, they may be loose there.
