Amp blowing fuses I recently installed a 15" 4 ohm + 4 ohm dual voice coil speaker (1,200 watts) with 1,000 watt amp...I had the speaker hooked up to one channel and was'nt getting enough power out of it so I bridged and now it keeps blowing fuses(in the amp)...The amp says it is 1,000 x 1 max at 4 ohm bridged...when i hooked up the speaker in the box I ran a set of speaker wire from each voice coil and ran them into the one outlet coming out of the speaker box...am i even able to bridge it like this???I assumed the problem was my ground so I undid everything sanded it down really well and it did not help...any advice? |
Re: Amp blowing fuses How did you have your dual voice coils wired? Is your amp 2 ohm MONO stable or 2 ohm stereo stable? |
