Ball Joint Stuck In Lower Control Arm Hi. I'm Fred. Got a Civic, 2005, LX four-door. My passenger-side front ball joint is frozen in lower control arm. I want to buy a tool to free it. But I'm not sure what tool I need. My friend tried a pickle fork, but it didn't work. Could someone tell me what type of tool (and part number) I could get from Harbor Freight or somewhere to free this ball joint? The stud just doesn't want to move and I need to take the knuckle off the car to do some more work. hanks for any help! |

Re: Ball Joint Stuck In Lower Control Arm ^ I couldn't get that to work for me. The pickle fork should get it but will destroy the boot. Hit the fork with a BIG mallet. Like a 3lb one. I have one of these from HF. Works great! http://www.harborfreight.com/media/c...mage_12294.jpg |
Re: Ball Joint Stuck In Lower Control Arm Hey Guys, T hanks very much for your help. I'll try both methods. |
