Wheel well liners.... thoughts?

So, on my 98 civic, the wheel well liner is trimmed on the passenger side and is still there but chewed in the drivers side. Just today the liner disconnected from the inside of the bumper and obviously where it was chewed from the tire. I noticed it when I had to turn a hard right. I never gave the sound much though till today since it was louder. I noticed it dangling in the inside of the tire and I zip tired it back up.

So her is the main question(s)... Should I keep/replace the wheel well liners? And what are your thoughts on them?

i keep them because i have quite a bit of wiring and stuff i dont want to get wet. also it looks weird with them removed because you will see the naked car body. i did rip off the front splash shield and cut out most of the bumper because it was hanging too low and looked terrible. but fender liners imo are important to have.
