Junkyard wheels at MSRP !! I was searching for an OEM set of LX-S wheels for my 2010 FA1 in Michigan on the car-part site. They came from a 2011 ( I need TMPS ) I called they company and the guy said yes, $175 each + a $50 core charge for each wheel :_doh: O.K.... you are now at MSRP and that is without shipping $$. Majestic sells them each for $156.40 |
Re: Junkyard wheels at MSRP !! Why would a junkyard want a core charge for wheels? You'd think they'd want to get rid of stuff not trade it for more stuff. |
Re: Junkyard wheels at MSRP !! Some junk yards are totally unreasonable with their pricing.. I called about a bumper for my civic awhile ago and was quoted $350. |
Re: Junkyard wheels at MSRP !! It made no sense to me. I could see it on a re-man alternator or starter from a parts store... but a junkyard ?? For wheels ?? and to top it off they have 8 of them available. A while back I was looking for a steel wheel for a full size spare and they all wanted $50, very near msrp. |

Re: Junkyard wheels at MSRP !! Some junkyards try to make up for lost sales on parts by charging more for others..rims are in a different category for most junkyards and use them as wholesale and not resale..if that makes sense to you..I think its crap but they got to stay in business to i guess |
Re: Junkyard wheels at MSRP !! I ended up with 4 brand new 16 x 6.5 5 spoke TPMS shipped for about $170 each. My RSAs are getting pretty worn, I may have to get my Michelins sooner than expected. Around 34k miles and the rsa's are done, pretty sad. |
Re: Junkyard wheels at MSRP !! Cool, make sure you post up some pics when you get them on. |
Re: Junkyard wheels at MSRP !! I bought a whole new set of wheels for $450 shipped from these guys. If you need replacements i suggest you check them out they had the best prices when i was looking online. They have both OEM reconditioned and new replicas which are usually a lot cheaper. http://www.theautopartsshop.com/sear...ll&parts=wheel |
