14" to 15" recommendations?

I currently have an 98 Civic DX with stock 14” 185/65/14 ‘s. I’m planning on replacing the rim’s with 15”, and am considering these MB Drifters…anyone have any opinions on these?

I’ll probably go with 185/60/15 for tire size. Any disadvantages or other suggestions for tire sizes? This should only increase my overall diameter by 1.18%. Any recommendations for a decent quality, low noise tire in this size? Looking for around the 90-100 dollar range.

I’d appreciate any other suggestions, thanks!

those rims look okay, you may want to check the weight so youre not getting something heavier than stock. as for tires, tirerack.com usually has good reviews.

I would also recommend tirerack for tires. They always have some nice deals too

I believe the proper size is 195 55 15

I wouldnt buy rims new... check craigslist in your area to see what people have up for sale. You can usually get a good condition rim on a steep discount plus a set of tires. Drive on it till the tires are toast and then put the tires on it you want.

also, and it's just my personal preference, but a wider tire would look better imo. getting aftermarket wheels or even OEM wheels aren't given justice with a thin tire, lol. something like a 205/50/15 won't throw you wheel speed/speedometer speed off any more than the 185/60/15's and just make the overall look more appealing. I run 215/45/16's on mine just because i think the thinner tires just seem to look funny, lol. but then again it's just my personal preference and thought i'd throw the suggestion out there. hope you enjoy whatever you choose.
