What do you do with stock parts when upgrading? When you get some new rims, what do you do with the old hub caps? Are they worth anything? What about stock non-leather seats? thanks |
Re: What do you do with stock parts when upgrading? well if you have the facilities store them in case you ever want to sell and the buyer desnt want ur stuff |
Re: What do you do with stock parts when upgrading? i usually give away or sell cheap depending what it is. i have no room for storage. |
Re: What do you do with stock parts when upgrading? I keep everything and store it in the crawl space/attic. One thing I havent managed to fine has been my stock battery tie, so keep smaller parts in bags or something logical as opposed to spread all across the garage. |
Re: What do you do with stock parts when upgrading? If you upgrade your steelies to wheels, I would sell the hubcaps as u now have no use for them. |
Re: What do you do with stock parts when upgrading? I put everything together, get all the screws/bolts into sandwich bags and put them away somewhere they won't be in my way when moving around the garage/basement. So far I've got 2 stock seats, stock airbox, interior fabric, trunk fabric/cardboard, stock radio and probably a bunch of other things. Seats are neatly tucked away under the work bench, I built it very high. Soon I'm going to get some felt feet for the seats and put them in the media room. |
Re: What do you do with stock parts when upgrading? yea i also keep all of my car stuff thats not very large in one big box (small parts, nuts, bolts are also in ziploc bags). next to that, i have a small stack of boxes (that the aftermarket parts came in) that i just put the stock stuff into so i know whats what. all kept in the garage. my exhaust system, wind deflectors, stuff like that...i have it wrapped in plastic and sitting in the rafters of my garage right above my head. just dont lose stuff, because believe it or not, there are more people out there that DONT want aftermarket stuff, so when you go to sell you might have to switch stuff back. |
