good tires? good brands for wheels? trust worthy site? ok i have a 2002 honda civic ex coupe and decided to buy these wheels http://www.wheelfire.com/scontent/Wh...hicleOption=EX first off is wheelfire a good trustworthy site? how fast is their shipping? and for the tires I was looking at the one of these for the wheel http://www.wheelfire.com/scontent/Ti...k&wheelsize=17 and saw the Nexen 5000 and the 3000. how is nexen? im not wanting to spend a forturn but I want good all around tires, I DO NOT RACE, DRIFT OR ANYTHING, JUST WANT THEM TO LAST AND BE DECENT. tHANKS |
Re: good tires? good brands for wheels? trust worthy site? stay away from nexen....if you are looking for a great price for a really nice tire....you cant go wrong with nankang.... as far as that site....not sure about that one |
Re: good tires? good brands for wheels? trust worthy site? go to discounttiredirect.com good tires cheap price free shipping |
Re: good tires? good brands for wheels? trust worthy site? well can you go here http://www.wheelfire.com/scontent/Ti...k&wheelsize=17 theirs a few listed, such as hankook, kumho, nittoneo gen and then falken. I know falken is prob one of the ebtter brands but they are ALOT more. is it even noticable? just want them to last, im not gonna race or anything |
Re: good tires? good brands for wheels? trust worthy site? well i wanted to get the wheels and tires from the same place for convenience. |
Re: good tires? good brands for wheels? trust worthy site? i ran hankook on my truck for three years and over 40k miles....they were 285 35 22s |
Re: good tires? good brands for wheels? trust worthy site? well looking at these hankooks then http://www.wheelfire.com/scontent/Ti...hicleOption=EX ? what do you think? and wheelfire sells like road tire insurance for 80$ to cover all the tires if damaged or cannot hold pressure will be replaced for up to 2 years. is that worth it? |
Re: good tires? good brands for wheels? trust worthy site? roadhazard isnt worth it....especially internet roadhazard warranties....lol |
Re: good tires? good brands for wheels? trust worthy site? ok well here is what im looking at for everything http://i25.tinypic.com/35a2liw.jpg i just wanna make sure I have everything i need, because im getting it shipped to a local car shop and they will put on the wheels for me for 15$ and I wanna have all the parts needed so once they arrive I just head over and they put them on, im not sure if I need the wheel locks? and anyone know if wheelfire mounts and balances the tires onto the wheels so when they arrive they are already assembled? on the image it says wheelfire wheel installation kit? not sure what that is |
Re: good tires? good brands for wheels? trust worthy site? that seems like an awfully high price for the tires..... are you planning on lowering thre car? is it already lowered? if so, 215 45 17 is too big....you should get 205 40 17 but atleast no larger than 215 40 17. |
Re: good tires? good brands for wheels? trust worthy site? well my car isnt lowered yet. I plan on lowering it jsut to get rid of the wheel gap. I dont want it so low that when I hit a speedbump I scrape the bottom of my car. and really? I keep reading and hearing go with 215 45 since more smooth and last longer |
Re: good tires? good brands for wheels? trust worthy site? moved. |
Re: good tires? good brands for wheels? trust worthy site? So are the hankooks fine? And is 215 45 fine? |
Re: good tires? good brands for wheels? trust worthy site? hankooks are actually pretty good tires....the price you are paying for them seems high. 215 45 17 is ok if not lowering....if lowering you need a 205 40 17 |
Re: good tires? good brands for wheels? trust worthy site? Look into Bridgestone they have alot of different tires for decent prices. |

Re: good tires? good brands for wheels? trust worthy site? why cant I lower with 215 45? I mean I know I wont be able to lower AS much but as long as I can get rid of some of the wheel gap. I dont plan on bringing it to the ground. |
Re: good tires? good brands for wheels? trust worthy site? i just wouldnt suggest that size with any more than a 1" drop |
Re: good tires? good brands for wheels? trust worthy site? any reason why? I was thinking id need around 2 to cover the gap |
