17" rims and tire, but different sizes

OK, so i got 17s and my front tires are kumho ecsta tires that are 205/40/17
but my back tires are a diff company and 215/50/17
i bought them used from someone with the wheels already on the rims but i did not notice the diff. Then i out em on and saw it. What types of problems will i have from this?

haha so its 215 50s in the back and 205 40s on the front? well you wont really run into major problems on them...they will just be noticeable and people will be like what the hell. im guessing youre also on stock suspension?

i keep picturing a muscle car that has big fat slicks on the back and smaller tires on the front. haha.

what is the treadlife left on them? do you need new tires soon? the difference between a 215 50 and a 205 40 is about 2 inches in total on the entire tire diameter, so i would definitely be changing 2 of the 4 to make them all the same. go with the 205/40 so you only have to buy 2, unless they are worn down, then just go with 4 x 215/45

Ya its stock suspension. I plan to change it once i have money. i look at the /40/ and it seems small. the tread is about 60-70% on front, and maybe 80% on back. it dont bother me that much, but i dont want to be losing mileage and grip over it. I was thinking i just will get 2 /40/ for the back to match the front.
but im broke at the moment.

i got inspection in a few months, do you think it will pass? or should i put on my stocks?

for an inspection i would definitely put the stocks back on there. its a half an hour job that can save you a HUGE headache. just put your rims back on when you get home if you want after you pass the inspection.
