Replacing Pads + Rotors - Few Questions

Well I need to replace out the pads and rotors very very soon..
So far I'm going with the cheapie Raybestos rotors from my local Kragen at $19 a rotor.

As for brake pads I'm not so sure.. I mainly do daily driving everyday. My car is strictly an everyday commuter. I did some research and hawk pads, ebc, and axis showed up most. What do you people think about raybestos, akebono, or satisfied pro brands?
What would you pick out of the 4?
1) Raybestos Raymold Brake Pads (cheapie)
2) Raybestos PG Ceramic Brake Pads
3) Satisfied Pro Brake Pads Ceramic
4) Akebono ProACT Ceramic Brake Pads

Now remember guys my car is strictly for commuting.

if u drive it EVERY DAY why would u wanna cheap out on the thing that stops u???

i wouldnt trust a $19 rotor...

no way in hell...

btw, what is wrong with ur current rotors???

did u warp em or what? ive never heard of people HAVING to change their rotors out with their pads unless they were dumb and warped em or they got cracked or something.

what would YOU recommend for everyday driving?
I'm not cheapin out but the stock brake pads were superb to me so..
well i guess i don't need new rotors. (im almost at 60k miles) they seem
smooth and fine.

for daily driving, get oem pads and rotors. works great

ur rotors are fine.

if u want to make sure thom take em off and look at em. should be nice and smooth.

stick with OEM or go slotted or drilled. cheapo depot ones just arent worth risking your life over to save a few bucks.

and get some ceramic pads. auto zone sells em for like $30 and u get a lifetime warranty on em. so, y not? lol

well i went with satisfied pro ceramic pads. my friend has em' in his em1 and
they're great! not much dust either. i just replaced my cabin filters just right
no and mayn after owning the car for 3 years those things were filthy.

I replaced my cabin filter last year, and I just checked, and its freaking filthy right now. Definitely should be replaced yearly.

ya, the manual says every 15k miles... that about a year. lol

ya, i clean mine out every oil change using some compressed air from the clean side. it keeps it semi-decent till i buy another one. they are cheap as hell tho so its no prob.

have u ever seen a REAL warped rotor?

alot of mechanics will tell u ur rotor is warped cuz it isnt PERFECTLY flat, but a real warped one is so ****ed up and bent all over from heating and then cooling super fast.

dont slam on ur breaks or ride em like a grandma then drive thru water... lol

i just got ceramic pads last week when i had to change my brakes. i wasnt sure about em, but thought id give them a try. their pretty nice. not alot of dust, no noise, feels better than oem and stops real nice.

ya, ceramics are sweet.

but i have also heard that they can actually get baked by excessive heat and whatnot, so dont be a maniac with em. lol

Hmmmm... I'll have to watch for that and avoid all the rivers I drive through after riding my brakes.

puddles and flooded streets can do it too.

flash cooling of hot metal = bad.
