17x8" will fit but what offset?

Hey guys im looking for some new rims for my car. was looking at 18" volk gt-n's but then found out volk racing GT-V's come in a 4x100 in 17". I am heart set on these but am not sure what offset will fit our car, it is a 17"x8" wide rim and it comes in the offsets 24,25,30,36,38,42,49! I want it to have the most lip possible, willing to roll the fenders, but what is the optimal offset to havfe these fit without crazy negative camber. MY car is dropped a bit but i will raise it till they fit but wondering if anyone with solid knowledge in wheel fitment could point me in the direction of which of these offsets will allow me to run a 8" wide rim with im thinkin 225/45's?

36 or 38. plan on rolling fenders, not slamming the car and adjusting the alignment to keep it from rubbing
I see very little point in using the 8" over the sure fire fit 7", most of the wheel is going to be behind the face regardless of the width.

Re: 17x8" will fit but what offset?

i talked to the guys at tire23 and decided to go with 18x8" volk gt-v's with the in your face gold, not the noble, going with i think it was 36+ offset, just waiting on my axels and 5 lug conversion to come in. Im going to run teh same tire i had on my 18x7.5 which was 215/35/18. I know its going to stretch the tire a little bit but i want that look anyways. Ill let you know how it fits when they come in, im going to have to roll the fenders but am going to get them to fit so i can still slam it.have pics up the day of!

Re: 17x8" will fit but what offset?

that's not gonna fit stock fenders.. no way. You should have done more research before you purchased the wheels...
You'll need to roll your fenders in the rear, and when you do that you have a possibility of cracking the paint or getting ripples. Cracking of paint will eventually lead to earlier rusting. You'll also need some mad camber in the rear and front which will lead to faster tire wear. And 18" tires are expensive!

Hm, I would have recommended against getting an 8 inch wide set. The unfortunate part about our cars is the stock offset doesn't allow for much lip. I would have just gone with a smaller width, and a lower offset, then use a spacer. The 8 inch width is going to be a challenge to get to fit correctly and everything. I hope it turns out nice!
