Need brakes sometime soon.

Just got my car safety inspected today and they said that I have 2/32 lefts, so I have some time. I was thinking about getting brembo blanks with some hawk street pads. I have 17 wheels and my dad thought that if I can upgrade the size of the rotor some for not that much, then he'd go for it.

So basically Dezod carries the AEM brake upgrade for our cars and it increases the rotor and still uses OEM caliper. The rotors are slotted, which I don't care for too much, but I figured it'd be kinda nice knowing the brakes are being stressed.

Are there any other options for around 330? or will brembo blanks be an upgrade from OEM to help with my 17s?

The AEM kit is more or less useless. The caliper is designed for a 10.3" rotor, so throwing it onto a 12" one doesnt jive too well. The top of the pad will wear funny because the rotor wont touch it, and you end up with a dangerous situation. For about $500 you can get the ITR conversion from Fastbrakes, but its not gonna be of much use for the street. Autozone rotors and decient pads are perfect for street use.
