Is this tire repairable? i thought that it would be repairable but the guy at wal-mart says that its not. Its right on the border of where it would not be repairable. Just need some second opinions.. http://www.imagestation.com/picture/...3/ea792383.jpg http://www.imagestation.com/picture/...7/ea7922f1.jpg |
should be, it's fully in the tread design ... i don't know why it wouldn't be fixable. |
It looks to be repairable as long as its not on the wall of the tire it should be fine. There might be a reason why that guy works at Wal-Mart... |
yup.. i knew that it should be.. took it to walmart cause it was close. i argued with him for a good 2 minutes of why it can't be repaired. then just left and went to a local tire shop.. 4 bucks to repair |
I'm just messing with you about you going to Wally World bro. Thats great that you got it fix for cheap. |
that is repairable, usually anything like 1/4 inch to 1/2 an inch away from the edge isnt repairable http://img171.imageshack.us/img171/3179/ea7922f1be0.jpg |

sticking it with a plug is illegal here all of a sudden....but i hate patching tires now, gotta take it off the rim and do it from the inside, huge pain in the ass sometimes |

Oh yeah its repairable, The repair I had done last week as questionable, but seems to be holding, I am currently trying to get new tires. (I blew both front ones within a week.) The tire I blew last Sunday, was right on the edge, like 3mm from the sidewall. This is Sunday's tire was in the middle, but I have a long trip coming up, (Atlanta, to Los Angeles), and I want new tires for the trip, I am looking at YK520's. I think they are nice, your opinion? |
