Advice - 1994 Civic Coupe 147K miles?

Local person is selling a 94 Civic Coupe with 147K highway miles. They claim it runs great. They are asking around 1200 for it. I am not car savvy at all. What is most likely to break or go bad on this vehicle? Thank you.

You're gonna want as detailed of a maintenance history as they can get you.

Would the timing belt have to have been replaced after 147,000?

You would hope. I got mine done at 150k and I was SOOO paranoid that it was gonna snap. That's why you want a detailed history. Otherwise, assume it hasn't been done.

The place I went to threw in a new water pump and replaced all the belts, so it ran me around $600. You might as well get the water pump replaced as well because they are in the same area. Saves time and labor costs.
