got the Mini me started. Still needs timing gun but right now I think it's ok. Waiting for fan to kick on...temp staying at 197 for a minute.....then quick drive...o may adjust valves again...later when it cools down..but does it overall sound ok to you guys?

Haaay it's burning fuel again!

Did you figure out why it jumped time earlier?

Yeah I must have caused it when I did the head swap..watched a how to on YouTube where the guy skips the timing belt and had it suspended and attached to rail/post that lays parallel to the belt etc.
Later today is first test drive so double and triple checking things...found out fan is bad? (Jumped fan switch) no fan just click from relay substituted known good relay and still didn't work..both on and off...

Did you recheck valve clearances again?
Install that missing timing cover ASAP

Know that injectors make lots of tick noises you will always hear
and headers allow a lot of noise as well

See if radiator fan fuse has blown....if blown, that usually means the fan motor drew too many amps and is bad.

If fuse is good, Jump fan temp switch.....spin the fan blade by hand and see if it makes any attempts to spin on its own (sometimes hitting the back of the fan motor will cause it to attempt to spin)..any evidence that it is trying would indicate it is receiving power and ground to its connector and the motor is likely bad.

Unplug fan, install test light in harness connector
jump fan switch, test light should illuminate, that would indicate bad fan motor

verify by using jumper wires to run the fan direct from the battery
