Yes it would fit and work fine the only problem is that the rpm gauge will not work because the dx did not come with it. Other than that it's direct plug and play you'll just have to have to run wiring to get rpms to show, which I know nothing about

i dont know about the actual fitting part, but almost every civic dx comes with the rpm wire already hooked up in the harness. so if the connectors plug in and the cluster fits in the spot, the rpm should work.

Incorrect. OBD2 vehicles come with what's called a Crank Position Sensor, located in the distributor. This communicates the current RPM of the crank to the ECU and is pre-wired via the engine wiring harness. Therefore, when you plug in a cluster that has a tachometer, it will be plug and play.

So my advice? Buy the cluster and pop it in. Just note that the mileage on the replacement cluster cannot be changed to your current mileage so you will have to note at what mileage the original cluster was changed.

Thank you, Are you 100% sure. I dont want to spend the money then have it not work. im buying it because i want the rpms. i could care less about the milage. I need to make sure ur 100% sure that if i plug it in the rpms will work also

I am 100% sure. The mileage is irrelevant but make sure you note the mileage on the old cluster so you know the actual miles when you go to sell it.
