OEM Lug Nuts and OEM Hub Caps - 1996 14 inch 1996 cIVIC cOUPE w/ 14 inch steel wheels. I have aftermarket lug nuts. Yesterday I bought 4 nice Stock Honda Hub caps. The type that are held down by the lug nuts. My aftermarket lug nuts do not touch the stock hub caps so I will throw these caps off on the 1st drive. Anyone have some stock lug nuts for the steel wheels for sale or suggestions ? I hate to spend $30-40 for Stock lug nuts. Maybe I will sell the stock wheel covers I just bought and for $35 I can buy 4 aftermarket wheel covers. |
Re: OEM Lug Nuts and OEM Hub Caps - 1996 14 inch if you have after market tuner style cone seat lug nuts they're not safe to use with steel wheels, they're not strong enough to hold a steel wheel on. If you need stock lug nuts those are ball seat lug nuts, just go to a scrap yard and pick some up if your on a budget, most don't even charge for lugs. |
Re: OEM Lug Nuts and OEM Hub Caps - 1996 14 inch UPDATE --- I bought 16 used lug nuts on ebay for $25 delivered. The stock hub caps really look nice. HUGE improvement over the cheap after market plastic wheel covers. SO stock used wheel covers $30 + $25 nuts = $55.00 ------------------------------------------------------------------- |

I actually am doing something similar for my 97 Civic. I picked up used hubcaps for $25 and have replaced the peeled-off hubcaps that originally came with the car. And to make sure, the lug nuts for OEM wheels are ball seat?? And a nylon washer is used on each nut?? Thanks! |
