Help with wiper issue!

I have a 98 civic and looking for help with my windshield wipers. Right now they have a mind of their own, I use to be able to kinda jimmy the switch, but now they just come on and off as they please, which is more on. I checked the fuse, which appears to be intact, but looks like the metal connection there could be at fault. When I take out the fuse of course nothing happens with the wipers, but put it in and the wipers go nuts. Any ideas on how to fix this problem without taking it into the shop! Thanks!

Sound like the switch is bad. Maybe the relay.

Re: Help with wiper issue!

The mechanism in the wiper motor that parks the wiperblades in the off position is faulty.
You will probably find that the wipers will start working all the time and cannot be switched off.
Wiper motor assembly / linkage needs to be replaced.
