O2 sensor

good day all,

Looking to replace my primary O2 sensor, and i am wondering if there is a preferred brand to go with. I was looking at the NGK. what does honda use?

Can anyone assist please.

Thanks

Re: O2 sensor

Only use NGK or Denso! Never Bosch! Idk which is OEM but both are good.

I just replaced mine with an OEM from Honda parts now for like $58.

I couldn't find any parts shop in my area with the correct part in the right box.

Parts in the states are much cheaper, dealer o2 sensor here is $200 Canadian.

Damn that's a lot!! I've heard that car parts are more expensive in Canada. Its probably not much cheaper to order it online after shipping charges. The o2 sensors for 03-05 are more expensive then 01-02 because they are narrow band instead of wide band.

Yea you can wait until it goes bad. I'm at 155k with mine. If you want to help your mpg then you can change the 02 sensors. I was thinking about doing mine just for that reason. Over time they loose accuracy and get all grimy.

meh i picked up up a DENSO oem replacement wideband for 90 dollars at advanced auto of course the dealer wants 200 dollars. why would you pay $200 for dealer sensor when the identical plug is $90 at a parts store ???

I replaced mine this morning and compared the 2 they where identical both made by NTK.
Dealer wanted $200 for the part I got it for $50 at a local parts store.
