My steering wheel isn't straight I noticed a few days ago that my steering wheel isn't straight anymore. When the car is driving perfectly straight (so the wheels are straight), the wheel is a bit to the right. https://img695.imageshack.us/img695/1489/28336287.png I recently removed both front wheels at the same time while doing a tranny fluid change, and I didn't notice this problem before that, could this be the cause of my problem? Can I adjust it back? |
Re: My steering wheel isn't straight its an alignment issue and taking wheels off should not have affected it unless you have some kind of problem with a suspension component thats broken. |
Re: My steering wheel isn't straight I was thinking about this earlier and I remember that recently I drove over a big piece of metal on the highway going 110km/h. Whole car got thrown up on two wheels, I pulled over but I couldn't find anything wrong. I drove away and it felt fine, and didn't notice anything wrong with how the car handled. Someone in an F150 went over it right after me and pulled over behind me, and had two blown tires. I still can't figure how my tires weren't blown. I ran over this. Looks like a mudflap from a truck still attached to the metal bar that holds it on. https://img821.imageshack.us/img821/5943/imag0078w.jpg |
Re: My steering wheel isn't straight That could do it. Look underneath and see what is bent. |
Re: My steering wheel isn't straight Guess I'll jack up the car tomorrow and see if I can see anything. Thanks |
Re: My steering wheel isn't straight trucks are alot heavier than cars so more weight on the tires makes it easier to get a flat. im sure you did some damage even if you didnt notice at the time. |
