Re: Night Hawk to Flat Black Still have to flat the tail lights and the headlights ( not all the way just parts ), got some new wheels coming in. |
Re: Night Hawk to Flat Black should have gone satin black. |
Re: Night Hawk to Flat Black you say you rattle can'ed it. well it shows. the look could be cool but the paint is very uneven. |
Re: Night Hawk to Flat Black I don't wanna be rude or anything, but um... GROSS. every time I see a flat black car I think of nails on a chalkboard for some reason. |
Re: Night Hawk to Flat Black hmm thought u had sold the car.. |
Re: Night Hawk to Flat Black lol it looks like my buddies eg. despite my shine gold paint im a fan of flat paint. ps if u decide to part wit ue rims when u get ur nu set pm me an we will talk on em. |
Re: Night Hawk to Flat Black Not bad for a budget job. Should have saved up and gotten it done professionally though, you can definitely tell it was done in a garage. |
Re: Night Hawk to Flat Black not my style, i prefer shiny paint, but it looks pretty good. i am wondering how you take care of a flat finish tho, i guess just wash and thats it til the paint starts coming off again? great job with the body work |
Re: Night Hawk to Flat Black It has a flat clear on it that keeps it smooth and washable. Once it wears down a little im going to wet sand it down and spray it at my buddies paint booth. But considering i spent less than 200 dollars (the dents that my brother pu tinto the sides of that car were nasty and they are now smooth and gone) im not sad about it. The rims are for sale by the way, hit me up with an offer. As far as the "satin" goes that's pretty much how it looks up close. I did get rid of my 01 ex, this is an 03 lx that my brother drove and i took over the payments on to help out my parents. I got tired of shinny and up keep on it, plus i like flat. |
Re: Night Hawk to Flat Black Actually the way the sides look spotted in the pictures is not how they look in person, i had not washed it when i took those, a lot of that was residue from the clear. There are a few spots that are splotchy, but its not as bad as the pictures (from my cell phone) make it look. |
Re: Night Hawk to Flat Black Take some updated pics :) |
Re: Night Hawk to Flat Black when i can wash it again (i park outside and its been raining off and on) and get my nikon out ill get some better pics. |

Re: Night Hawk to Flat Black Ya you can tell its rattle can with the uneven parts but the body work is good though. Should of got a gun and did it that way it would of turned out alittle better. But like said above you should of with the satin black. But one of the best paint jobs that you could do that is affordable and will last just as long as a 2000 dollar paint job is the vinyl wrap. You can wrap your car for at least 160 with all the materials. |
