Rims & Tires Well since winter is over it's time to get my winter tires off the car which are 195/60/R15 and at the Performance Store that I went to he told me that I could go with 215/45/R17 Falkon Tire.... Now will this create any problems for my suspension , he said it wouldn't and the only thing is the speedometer might be off by a bit.. This is going on a Silver 2003 Civic SI and the rims that I want are black with chrome... I'll tell you the price once I buy them but remember I'm from Canada eh..lol Thanks for you input and I will post some pictures when I get them...Thanks |
Re: Rims & Tires that's the size i'm running...no problems. |
Re: Rims & Tires they will fit no problem. just gonna be a little rougher ride and like he said the speedo will be off a little bit. |
Re: Rims & Tires I had to roll my rear fender just to fit my 205/50/15 B.F. Goodrich G Force Kdws. Then again my car sits on Tein Type Flex Coilovers adjusted all the way down. Are you running stock suspension? |
Re: Rims & Tires 45's are a great size...215/45's are a great size..i have them on my 16's not too fat and not too skinny just right lol |
Re: Rims & Tires I run 205/45/17 in the front and 215/45/17 in the rear no problems at all |
Re: Rims & Tires i wouldn't go any bigger then 16s performance wise . |
Re: Rims & Tires im running the same size and there are no probs. actually i thought my ride got a lil smoother than stock |
Re: Rims & Tires pffft **** all that noise. go big or go home. I have a body kit so I got away with 40 tread wrapping around 18's on my ride with a 2 inch drop. speedometer didn't change. the speed cops pull me over for is exactly the speed i was going lol. anything over 45's as far as tread go are going to be smooth. i use to roll with 35's on my and wow the road noise plus the quality of ride was straight up stupid. |
