Door trim question Hi everyone, My door trim has faded, I thought it was just a clear coat over the black. Come to find out the black came off when trying to buff out the clear coat. Now I need new trim on doors. I need help locating the name of the trim. https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.civ...18553661c.jpeg |
Re: Door trim question Ahh yea I would say that is faded. Aftermarket might be hard to find. Year and trim? Looks like you need 5 and 6 https://dz310nzuyimx0.cloudfront.net...1140395fca.gif |
Re: Door trim question Looks like they are referred to as Tape Sets which is what the part number for 5&6 said too. https://www.8thcivic.com/forums/insi...need-help.html Plati Dip is always an option too. |
Re: Door trim question It is 2010 thank you I will look into those. |
Re: Door trim question It’s a 2010 LX where would I find these parts?

It’s a 2010 LX where would I find these parts? You can order here. Look up with car info or VIN. Its under body and air conditioning category. Then Front door panels. https://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/ Junk Yard will be the cheapest or you can take the part number that hondaautomotiveparts gives you and look on google shopping or eBay. You can call a local dealer but generally its more then online sources but they may price match. I did a quick Google of 2010 Civic Tape Set and didn't see anything aftermarket but maybe your google skills are greater then mine. |
Re: Door trim question For the 2010 LX the door tapes are only about $50 plus shipping and handling for the two. If it is just the one door, I'd just order it from the site. (https://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com...nt-door-panels) I have a feeling trying to peal these off a junk yard door would be next to impossible without breaking them. I've ordered parts from them before and never had any problem. The ones for the rear door are only about $30 plus shipping and handling for the two tapes. If the other side is as bad you would need to spend about $160 plus shipping and handling to replace all the door tapes. (Edited after I saw the rear door fading in the image.) |
