Clutch problems 2007 Civic Si

I have a 2007 Civic Si with approximately 144K miles. Recently sometimes it will not shift out of reverse. It shifts into all other gears fine. Has anyone had the same or a similar issue? I've been told it could be several things.

Can you jack it up to see if anything is damaged?

Shift linkage?
