trouble starting after temperature drop Hello all. I have a 2007 honda civic ex. Lately; in particular after a temperature drop my car has trouble turning over. This has been going on for a few weeks...thankfully haven't got stuck anywhere. When it started I had the original battery replaced. The problem persisted but it seems to only happen after a temperature drop. I was thinking my next move is to change the spark plugs and wires. What do you men and women think? |

What do you men and women think? can be a good idea to do. along with checking the air filter. im just curious as to what type of oil your using because on a Civic at least on mine it calls for a viscosity of 5w20 oil I use synthetic 5w20 I find especially in cold months on any vehicle it cranks the engine a little esyer in -cold temps easyer on the battery too. and the engine tends to warm up a little quicker as well. |
Re: trouble starting after temperature drop An 07 has Iridium plugs that are good for 100,000+ miles, and there are no plug wires (C.O.P. ignition). It's already supposed to use 5w20, but 0w20 is also acceptable. |
