What are COMPLIANCE BUSHINGS and how much should repair on something like that be!?

Was in for an oil change (A 1, 5), and they told me my Compliance Bushings are cracked. They advised doing nothing now, but that once they break they'll have to be replaced.

What are these, and how much should repairs like that cost?

I know nothing about cars and don't want to be taken!

Compliance bushings are the rubber bushings in your front control arm.

They do get cracked over time. Nothing to worry about till they break.

Repairs depend on your location and their method of repair.

A lot of places won't replace JUST the bushing, they relace the entire arm so it gets a lot more exensive. If they relace just the bushing your probably into it for 1 hour labour + the cost of the bushing. If it's the entire arm its an hour labour + the cost of the arm. Some places may charge 2 hours but I just don't see this taking the shop 2 hours.
