Lights in the Dark

Hi guys i just bought a 2006 Civic LX and i only drove it for like 2 days, but once in the dark. I have a question regarding the headlights. The left lever has 2 clicks, the first click is for parking lights, taillights, instrument
panel lights, side-marker lights, and rear license plate lights. The second click is for the headlights.

I'm a complete noob btw, so my question is which one do i turn the knob to, to activate the lights in the dark when driving. Guessing it's called headlights, but then what does the first click do and when will I ever use them.

Re: Lights in the Dark

first click turns on the interior lights and the outside marker lights front and rear. you need the second click to be able to see at night. if youre in doubt, turn one click and go outside the car to see which lights come on. basically everything should be on except the turn signals and headlights. second click turns the headlights on for night driving. with switch off, the hi beam will turn on during the day at low power as a drl (daytime driving light).
