valve cover painting update started doing the valve cover. while i was putting on the primer i got it too heavy in one spot, so i decided to clean it up a bit. not a good idea. at first we used this little brush we had to smoothe it out. we screwed that up. then we tried rub on alcohol to see if we could fix that. did work. now were going to basically have to wait till it dries and sand the whole son of a bitch down again and start over. :_doh: |
damn dude that sux |
id have to agree |
i seriously wish injen would come out with theirs before to long...sigh.. |
Just make sure you do multiple light coats then way you dont get runs and take your time to make it look good. hope things work out. |
this is a real bitch. im trying to get mine to look like yours but its frustrating. |
im going to paint mine gunmetal man, dont think anyone has done that yet |
like what samari said, use very light coats. dont try to cover the whole piece in one coat. just spray it. i painted mine in like 5 coats, and it turned out fine. i didnt use primer either |

gunmetal would be dope. I have not seen that in a spray can before. And to redline, just keep at it and you will get it and it will turn out dope. Just take your time and have patience. |
