Unhooked Battery...Help!

:_doh:

I unhooked the battery and then rehooked it up trying to install my system. Now my engine and SRS lights are on above the steering wheel where your fuel gauge, seatbelt light, and speedometer, etc... are. I called Honda and they said it would be $35 dollars to turn them off. Is there any way to do it my self and save my money for more important things???? Please help me out!

I have never heard of that happening.

nope your screwed :) just kidding did you try to unhook the positive for a few minutes and then hook it back up? then you have to start the car, dont touch gas, then turn off, then turn on again, dont touch gas, then let run for like 10 minutes and then turn off and back on, after on you may use the gas again.

I think you mean unhook the negative.. leave the positive connected.

first of all i dont think that sounds right just by unhooking the battery, i dont know what dealer u been going to but performance on rt 4 has never charged me money for turning off anything. they prob want to check out why it came on and see if there is a prob and want u to pay the labor for checking

I bought my civic at performance. I called Jeff Wyler Colerain just because they are closer.

poopy ray that solved half the problem....got rid of the engine light, my SRS light is still on.

when I put my system in I took out both front seats to lay dynamat. Well i had to unhook some cables, but I hooked them back up. Then my SRS light came on, but the dealer fixed it for free. Maybe that is your problem. Later

Do the DIY Resetting the SRS light. It works and you'll save yourself time from making a trip to the dealer.
