Oil pressure port? As far as I know there's no such thing. You have to hook up the oil guage to something like a Greddy oil filter adapter, or an oil filter relocation kit. You could also drill a new hole in the oil pan and weld on a new "port". If there is one on there then I want to know about it as well 'cause I will be installing guages in the future.

grey, if you were to drill a whole in the oil pan, and tap the guage into that, i dont think you would get an accurate reading.....you would need to tie it into some part of the engine where there is pressure.....i think? like near the oil filter (hence the greddy thing)

well the simpliest thing to do is to look for the oil dummy light sensor, put your oil pressor sensor in there and viola. fyi on most cars the dummy sensor is near the filter.

i guess this is alittle related.. how about Oil Temp sensor?
I have the AutoTech oil pressure and Temp..
In matchs so well with my Gauges

so many problems come with it tho..

1- cant find the port for pressure
2-dunno where to put the temp sensor
3-no gauge pods yet..

a d16y8 in a 96 del sol I worked alot on did not have a pressure port, even went to a fiew dealers and asked the techs there. Since the blocks are almost identical I would assume the d17 does not have a tap for it, could be wrong though
