Does Gumout fuel system cleaner and the like work?

I bought this $10 fuel system cleaner that's supposed to clean the injectors, valves, and combustion chambers by just dumping it into the gas tank.

Do these things actually work and do you notice the result?

nope, none of the store products do anything. if you knew what was in em, you wouldnt pay more than $1. just buy some lubecontrol.com FP-plus. a gallon is only maybe $40 and it lasts several yrs using it each time you fill up. >100 fillups.
