need help replacing fuel tank 2004 civic
 
hi, not new to the forum just finally registered today.

i need help how to change my fuel tank for a 2004 civic,

what tools are needed? and where are all the bolts are at? and are all the fuel tank on the 2001-2005 civic are all the same?

Ok well why change a 2004 fuel tank.. also the risks and fuel dumping are cery high... its not really a do it yourself think but basically a jack , ratchets, screwdrivers should do the trick.. also do not have any light sources around......perhaps a flashlight also be in a well vented area .......


why change a 2004 tank???? its new

Maybe he's doing an '05 gas tank swap, I hear it gives you +2HP, lol.

im replacing my fuel tank because i ran over a sharp metal object on the freeway and made a crack on the bottom of the tank so thats the reason why im replacing it. thanks gear box :)

Good stuff as always gearbox. If you don't have that special fuel pump collar tool thing, just use a hammer and a brass punch to loosen it up. You just tap on the collar ribs to get it turning in the right direction.

the main thing is relieve fuel pressure, so you dont cause any explosion :)
